Meet Dr. Ryan Emmons
The “Nerve Guy”
Patients know Dr. Ryan Emmons as “the nerve guy,” a nickname that reflects his strong interest in the nervous system and how it relates to the way the body functions. His clinical focus ranges from urgent, acute concerns to complex, long-standing conditions, with particular attention to nervous system function.
Dr. Emmons has a special interest in the C1 vertebra and upper cervical spine, including upper cervical instability. Rather than looking at one area in isolation, he incorporates a whole-body assessment to gain a broader understanding of what may be happening.
Finding His Path to Chiropractic
Dr. Emmons graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2006. While his education gave him his clinical foundation, some of his most meaningful learning has happened in practice through years of working with patients, collaborating with colleagues, and continuing to ask questions.
His interest in chiropractic began much earlier. As a teenager dealing with intense back pain, his mom took him to see a chiropractor. The experience made a lasting impression and sparked an interest that eventually became his career.
Bringing Energy to Every Visit
Spend a little time with Dr. Emmons and his enthusiasm for what he does is easy to see. He genuinely enjoys helping people and brings curiosity and energy to his work. That interest extends beyond his own practice. Dr. Emmons also teaches other health professionals about assessing and caring for joint instability in the body.
Beyond the Practice
Outside the clinic, there’s a good chance you’ll find Dr. Emmons in the gym. He’s a natural bodybuilder and has earned three pro cards through three separate organizations. When he isn’t training or working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and walking their fuzzy Pomeranian, Fred.
